Kieserling Foundation continues support
The Bremen-based Kieserling Foundation extends its endowment of Jacobs University's’ Maritime Logistics professorship for a further three years.
February 3, 2012In its constitutive meeting the council of the Bremen-based Kieserling Foundation has agreed to support Jacobs University’s Maritime Logistics Professorship for a further three years.
The professorship is held by Prof. Dr. Jens Froese. The Kieserling Stiftung has endowed the chair since 2008.
Prof. Froese says: “During the last years the Kieserling Foundation essentially contributed to the development of excellence in logistics education and science. I’m extremely happy that we can proceed with our fruitful cooperation.”
The continued endowment is part of an annual investment of €200,000, which the Kieserling Foundation will use to support non-profit logistics projects in Bremen.
Since its launch in 2004 the Kieserling Stiftung has contributed €1.8 million to non-profit ventures including professorships, events and scientific projects in the areas of transport and logistics.
