Ambassadors of East and South East Asia (including Australia) will visit Bremen on invitation of the "Ostasiatischer Verein". On Thursday, February 23rd they will visit Jacobs University to strengthen the connections and interactions between Asia and Europe, a topic that is of high interest at our university.
Ambassadors of East and South East Asia (including Australia) will visit Bremen on invitation of the "Ostasiatischer Verein" (OAV) to have a festive meeting at the famous "Obere Rathaushalle" on February 24th.
On Thursday, February 23rd they will visit Jacobs University to strengthen the connections and interactions between Asia and Europe, a topic that is of high interest at our university.

- Welcome by Arend Vollers, Chairman Ostasiatischer Verein zu Bremen
- Introduction by Professor Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Helmut Schwarz, President Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung: „The Role of Fundamental Research for Global Economic Progress”
- Introduction to the „British Parliamentary Debate Style“ by Fabian Rußmann, Class of 2012.
- The Jacobs Students versus Professors Debate: „This house believes that innovation and creativity are essential for sustainable growth and economic development. Therefore strong standards and effective enforcement of intellectual property protection are needed.”
