Jacobs University’s Katja Windt, Professor of Global Production Logistics, is among 13 scholars added to the ranks of ‘acatech’ – Germany’s National Academy of Science and Engineering.

By appointing the members to its circle ‘acatech’ recognizes their exceptional scientific achievements. The 13 new members hailing from leading universities and research institutions in Germany will support the ‘acatech’ networks and projects determining the academy’s recommendations in science and technology.

The ‘acatech’ general assembly confirmed the new appointments at its last meeting bringing the number of members to 380. Each member is part of one of the following networks:

  • Biotechnology and Bioeconomics
  • Energy and Resources
  • Society and Engineering
  • Health Technology
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Materials Science and Materials Engineering
  • Mobility, Logistics, Aerospace Technology
  • Nanotechnology
  • Product Development and Production
  • Security
