Jacobs University offers Bachelor of Science programs and Bachelor of Arts programs. In June 2004 all Jacobs University Bremen Bachelor study programs were fully accredited by the Accreditation Council. Jacobs University's programs correspond to the European educational framework that is a result of the European 1999 Bologna agreement for the standardization of European universities.

During the 2004 accreditation, Jacobs University was examined by a commission of the agency ACQUIN (Akkreditierungs-, Certifizierungs- und Qualitätssicherungs-Institut) for the goals and academic structure of programs. The following central questions guided the evaluation procedure:

• Do quality, duration of study and performance records correspond to international standards?
• How intensive is student support?
• Does the personnel and technical equipment suffice to guarantee smooth performance?
