Presentation of "Teach First Deutschland"
“In Germany and 22 other countries, Teach for All partner organizations are working to expand educational opportunity by enlisting their most promising future leaders in the effort. They aspire to the vision that one day, all children will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. You can be a part of this growing movement to close the achievement gap, in Germany, the US, India, Pakistan and numerous other countries across the globe. You will receive intensive training, support and career development that helps you increase your impact and deepen your understanding of what it takes to close the achievement gap. And you can make your resume even more appealing to future employers by demonstrating commitment and stamina!
Jacobs alumni Anja Jungermann (‘07) and Mitja Müller (‘06) will share their experiences as Teach First Deutschland Fellows. Find out what it’s like to teach English, German and Politics in Berlin’s and Duisburg’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods, and learn how their students and they themselves benefitted from the two-year commitment.
After the official part of the event, Anja and Mitja look forward to continuing the discussion with you at The Other Side.
Be sure to register for the event at http://teachbeyondjacobs.eventbrite.com/.
