The Counseling Center

Life at Jacobs University is likely to be a period of intellectual and cultural stimulation, self exploration, and career development. It may also be a period of experimentation in which students assume new roles, face new academic and social challenges, and may even come to question certain values and beliefs they hold.

The goal of the Counseling Center (CC) is to actively assist students in resolving existing problems, preventing potential problems, and developing new skills that will enrich their lives and help them cope with challenges.  The CC is particularly committed to developing and maintaining a positive psychological climate on campus as well as to fostering respect for cultural pluralism within the Jacobs community.

Our services for students include psychological counseling, life coaching, mediation, support groups,  workshops, awareness campaigns and many more interesting offerings. We also provide expert advice and consultations for faculty and staff. All our services are free and confidential.

Typically, our offerings revolve around the following topics: coping with stress, improving time management, building relationships and intimacy, promoting intercultural competence, increasing self-confidence and performance, overcoming anxiety and depression, developing a healthy life style, etc.
