Krupp-College students celebrate "Glamour Day" and ratify a new constitution

Despite a busy mid-term test schedule, students in Alfried Krupp-College pass a new constitution and celebrate tolerance and diversity.

[ Oct 31, 2001]  In a show of support for tolerance and freedom, particularly in issues of sexual orientation, several dozen students from Krupp-College celebrated "Glamour Day" this past Tuesday. Billed as a "day of creativity and exploration," students, male and female alike, were encouraged to get out the lipstick. Guys wore skirts, girls wore ties, and a new tradition was established.

On the same day, elections were held in Krupp-College to ratify a new constitution. As mandated by the Alfried Krupp-College Founding Committee Charter, the new constitution was successfully ratified only after receiving a yes vote from two-thirds of the student members of Krupp-College. In fact, the new constitution received a favorable vote from almost 75% of the college. Slightly less than four percent voted against the constitution, which was drawn up by the 16-member Krupp-College Founding Committee in only four weeks time. Student elections for the first College Council to be elected under terms of the new constitution will be held with the next two weeks.
