Professor Max Kaase gives presentation on electronic democracy

   

[ Jun 14, 2001]  Continuing the series of scientific lectures begun at IUB in April, Professor Dr. Max Kaase presented his views on Electronic Democracy at the IUB campus on June 6, 2001. Some 50 guests listened as the political scientist, a former Professor at the University of Mannheim and at the Social Science Research Center in Berlin, spoke about the influence of internet technology on public involvement in western democracies. This was the second IUB lecture to be broadcast by Radio Bremen Radio Station. During the reception following the lecture, guests took advantage of the opportunity to discuss the topic with Dean Kaase.
