Let's dance: "IUB meets Bremen-Nord"

On the initiative of IUB student Peter Dabrowski and Bremen-North resident Michele Lapenna, a ball will take place on 20 September 2003 in the Strandlust in Bremen Vegesack.The event is themed "IUB meets Bremen-Nord". Invited are all new and old students, faculty, staff, host families and volunteers of IUB as well as citizens mainly from the northern part of Bremen.

[ Sep 05, 2003]  The event team wants to help to facilitate contact between the IUB community and Bremen citizens. "We hope that this ball will help to introduce the new students to their new home and neighbors - a great chance to make new friends and establish contacts," explains Peter Dabrowski. The event team hopes to intensify the relationships between IUB clubs and local clubs and organizations from Vegesack and surroundings.

The event will be very international with upto 600 IUB students from almost 70 countries present. Musical entertainment comes from the Latin American band Cocktail Tropical and DJs Schabba Heinz and Axel Höfft. Additionally a big raffle with numerous prizes and a weekend with a Mini Cooper car will be presented.

The profit of this event will go to support several IUB clubs and provides them with the means for further activities and events with local clubs. The attire for this event is semi-formal.
