Workshop functions as Kick-off for International Research Program „Key Visuals“

   

Scientists from seven German Universities as well as the Catholic University Sao Paulo and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will participate in the Workshop „Key Visuals“ on July 16th and 17th at International University Bremen (IUB).

[ Jul 15, 2004]  The focus of the workshop lies in examining key visuals in the media cultures of contemporary media superpowers such as Brasil, China, Germany and the United States. These countries are the major media markets on their continents. Together they dominate the global market for TV, Web and mobile visuals. Key Visuals have the same function as headlines in newspapers. Key questions are:

Which key visuals are used worldwide?
How does culture influence key visuals?
