Herzlich Willkommen in Bremen!

    

Interested in other cultures? Do you enjoy spending time with young people from other countries? Do you know Bremen and like showing people around in your city? Then read on!

[ Jul 17, 2002]  In Fall 2001, 130 students from almost 40 different nations made Bremen their destination for their undergraduate studies. They took up their studies at International University Bremen (IUB).

IUB was very fortunate to have many hospitable local hosts make the international students feel welcome in Bremen. While all students have full room and board on campus, our hosts provided “off-campus” contact throughout the semester, either by going out for dinner or showing students around the city every now and then.

In Fall 2002, 200 new IUB undergraduates will take up their studies, therefore IUB is looking for new host families and friends. The contact between IUB students and Bremen families is rewarding for both: Students learn more about Bremen, German culture, and the daily lives of families in Germany; hosts enjoy a special opportunity to learn more about other cultures and people of the world without even having to leave the city!
