Klaus Boehnke re-elected secretary-general of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP)

   

Klaus Boehnke, Professor of Social Science Methodology at IUB, was re-elected secretary-general of the IACCP in a contested election at the recent 17th International Congress of the Association from August 2-4, 2004, held at Xi'an, Sha'anxi Province, China.

[ Aug 27, 2004]  The International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP) was founded in 1972 and has over 800 members in more than 65 countries. The aims of the association are to facilitate communication among scientists interested in a diverse range of issues involving the intersection of culture and psychology. IACCP is affiliated with the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS).

Before joining IUB in spring 2002, Klaus Boehnke was Professor of Socialization Research and Methodology at the Technical University of Chemnitz for nine years. He is president of the Division of Political Psychology. Together with his wife he serves at College Master at IUB’s residential Mercator College since Novermber 2002.
