Open Graduate Students Conference at IUB:
New Horizons of Research

7 October 2005 is the first day of the third 3-day Graduate Student Conference at IUB. The conference, organized by the IUB Graduate Student Association (GSA), aims at initiating and strengthening of the transdisciplinary exchange between graduate students of different fields. It also provides them with the opportunity to present and discuss their work.

[ Oct 07, 2005]  During five sessions, starting on Friday afternoon and all day on Saturday, seventeen graduate students from IUB and from four other universities in Turkey, Canada, the US and Taiwan will give an insight into their current work. The conference program includes scientific talks from the areas of psychology, electrical engineering, ISS, nanomolecular sciences, and geosciences. For the first time, the graduate student conference will be split into two parallel sessions: one will deal with topics from the Humanities and Social Sciences, the other with topics from Engineering and Sciences. All talks will be held in English.

Besides graduate students and professors, undergraduate students and the interested public are also invited to attend this conference!

The conference starts on Friday at 2:00 pm with a welcome address by Dr. Antonia Gohr. The Humanities and Social Science sessions will take place in the Conrad Naber Lecture Hall, the Engineering and Sciences sessions in the Seminar Room in the Reimar Lüst Hall on the IUB campus. On Sunday the conference participants will enjoy a guided Bremen tour.

The program open to the public can be found here.
