On Friday, November 18, Ani Choying Drolma, a worldwide known Buddhist Singer, held a concert in IUB’s interfaith house. [ Nov 18, 2005] After a short introduction by IUB’s Nepalese community, 34-year old Ani Choying Drolma performed various songs and chants. Her repertoire consists of adaptations of well-known songs such as ‚Amazing Grace’, her own modern arrangements and traditional mantras. The nun is a widely listened singer who looks back at numerous well-received recordings with famous US artists. The main focus of her tours in Europe and the United States is to raise resources for her Tibetan nunnery where she funds the education of underprivileged women and girls.
