Editor in Chief of “Welt am Sonntag” Met IUB Students

   

On Wednesday, November 30, the lecture series "Business Leaders meet IUB" was continued. IUB’s Office of Career Services offered students the opportunity to meet with Christoph Keese, Editor in Chief for “Welt am Sonntag”.

[ Nov 25, 2005]  Christoph Keese presented on: "How to make good newspapers great - What journalism is all about." Welt am Sonntag is the Sunday edition of Die Welt. It covers a wide range of topics from politics, economics and finance to sports and culture. The lecture was held in the Conference Room and started at 7.30 h. It was followed by a discussion and a small reception.

The lecture series “Business leaders meet IUB” is a platform for exchange between industry & commerce and students. Professionals from various industrial sectors and professions are invited to campus to lecture on a topic related to their every day business. The lecturers are also asked to discuss their own professional background and career path. Students are invited to inform themselves further about the presented topic itself and the profession, industrial area or organization to which the presenter(s) belong, in the discussion following the lecture.

Christoph Keese
After studying economic sciences at the universities Frankfurt/ Main and Marburg, Christoph Keese attended the Henri-Nannen-Journalism-School in Hamburg. He was managing editor of Berliner Zeitung, and editor in chief of Financial Times Deutschland. Since May 2004 he is editor in chief of Welt am Sonntag.
