Representatives of Masterfoods to Meet IUB Students

   

This spring, IUB students have again the opportunity to meet chairmen from various industries. The lecture series “Business Leaders meet IUB” will be continued on Wednesday, February 1. On Campus: Representatives of Masterfoods.

[ Jan 30, 2006]  The first company to start the 2006 lecture series will be Masterfoods. In Germany, Masterfoods GmbH was formed by a merger of Mars GmbH and Effem GmbH in January 2001, uniting 1,900 employees with an annual turnover of 1.5 billion Euro to make one of the top suppliers in the German food industry. With the bringing together of Mars and Effem, Masterfoods became a market leader in four business sectors: Foodstuffs, Snack Foods, Petcare, and Plant Care.

Mr. Lucio Pieroni, Research and Development Director for Masterfoods Europe, will be talking on "Consumer-Led Innovation for Whiskas." Students will also have the opportunity to meet Masterfoods Recruiters Maria-Luise Adler, Head of Research and Development Germany and Member of the Management Board of Masterfoods Germany, Christine Richter, Management Development and Graduate Recruitment, as well asPetar Perkovic, European Management Trainee, and IUB alumni of the Class of 2004.

The popular lecture series is a platform for exchange between industry and commerce and students. Professionals from diverse industrial sectors and professions are invited to campus to lecture on a topic related to their every day business. The lecturers are also asked to discuss their own professional background and career path. IUB students are invited to inform themselves further about the presented topic itself and the profession, industrial area or organization to which the presenter(s) belong, in the discussion following the lecture.

The lecture will take place in the Conference Room of the Campus Center at 7.30 pm.
