'Vagina Monologues' on Campus

On March 3 and 4 2006 IUB students and staff will present the internationally recognized ‘Vagina-Monologues’ by playwright Eve Ensler. The performances each start at 8 p.m. in IUB’s Halle 3. Tickets (4 € for students/ 8 € for others) are available at the Pulse Copy Shop and at the box office on the night of the performance.

[ Mar 02, 2006]  The ‘Vagina Monologues’ are based on Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women of all ages, every status and class, who where asked about their vagina. They represent a striking and pivotal plea against sexual violence targeted at women and girls around the world. The performances at IUB are connected to the worldwide ‘V-Day’ (14th of February) - a movement that uses the ‘Vagina Monologues’ proceeds amongst other things for projects aiming at raising the general awareness about violence against females. All profits of this event will go to
the women’s shelter institution AWO Frauenhaus, Bremen.

Pulse Copy Shop opens daily from 1 – 3 pm and from 10 pm – midnight and is located on campus between West and East Halls.
