Klaus-Peter Schulenburg, CEO of CTS Eventim AG

On Monday, March 20, Klaus-Peter Schulenburg, Chairman of CTS Eventim AG will present a talk entitled: "CTS Eventim AG - Database marketing in a digital world". This talk is part of the IUB lecture series ‘Business meets IUB’ and takes place at
7.30 p. m. in the ICC Conference Room of the Campus Center.

[ Mar 17, 2006]  The two major business segments of CTS Eventim AG encompass ticketing and live entertainment. The company’s principal activities are the production, sale, distribution, and marketing of tickets. Per year, Eventim provides 70.000 tickets for concerts, theatre, exhibitions, sports, and other events and is the market leader in this filed. Eventim is currently responsible for such major ticket events as the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany

Klaus-Peter Schulenburg, CEO of CTS Eventim AG and responsible for corporate strategy, began his career as an artistic manager and concert organizer in 1973, while he was still at university. He entered the business world in 1979 as a television-advertising producer. Later, he acquired Bremen’s newspaper “Weser Report” and established various other newspapers. In 1990, he founded KPS Interactive Media, a call center and audiotex platform that rounded off the core business fields in entertainment and media. With the acquisition of the CTS GmbH in 1996, he laid the foundation stone of the CTS EVENTIM AG. Today, CTS EVENTIM AG employs over 570 people throughout Europe.

Business Leaders meet IUB The popular lecture series is a platform for exchange between industry and commerce and students. Professionals from diverse industrial sectors and professions are invited to campus to lecture on a topic related to their every day business. The lecturers are also asked to discuss their own professional background and career path. IUB students are invited to inform themselves further about the presented topic itself and the profession, industrial area or organization to which the presenter(s) belong, in the discussion following the lecture.
