Business Leaders meet IUB: Lecture by Bertelsmann Representatives Katrin Enaux and Katharina Reeke

   

On Wednesday, March 29, 2006, Katrin Enaux and Katharina Reeke of Bertelsmann’s Management Development Team will present a talk entitled: "Bertelsmann AG: Company, Culture, Careers". This talk is part of the IUB lecture series ‘Business meets IUB’ and takes place at 8.00 p. m. in the ICC Conference Room of IUB’s Campus Center. The English language lecture is open to the public. [ Mar 27, 2006]  Bertelsmann AG is Europe's largest corporate media group with divisions covering books, magazines, television and radio broadcasting, music, and subscription-based music and book services. Examples for the most well known corporations owned by Bertelsmann are the European TV and radio broadcaster RTL Group; the book-publishing group Random House, the magazine publisher Gruner + Jahr, and half of Sony BMG Music Entertainment and BMG Music Publishing. Bertelsmann employs over 88,516 people worldwide. In 2005, the company generated an annual turnover of 17.9 billion Euros.

Katrin Enaux is Director of Management Development where she supervises the recruitment of internal talents within Bertelsmann divisions. Her colleague Katharina Reeke, Manager of Management Development, is responsible for Executive Sourcing and Recruiting and the main contact person for external high-potential applications. Bertelsmann’s Corporate Management Development has offices in Gütersloh and New York.

Business Leaders meet IUB
The popular lecture series is a platform for exchange between industry and commerce and students. Professionals from diverse industrial sectors and professions are invited to campus to lecture on a topic related to their every day business. The lecturers are also asked to discuss their own professional background and career path. IUB students are invited to inform themselves further about the presented topic itself and the profession, industrial area or organization to which the presenter(s) belong, in the discussion following the lecture
