Director Kolleg St. Blasien visits IUB

   

On May 8, Pater Johannes Siebner SJ, Director Kolleg St. Blasien, will give a talk on "Jesuits running a School". The lecture will start at 7.30 p.m and will take place in the Conference Hall. Pater Siebner SJ will talk about what makes Jesuit education special and how his school tackles the challenges in higher education these days. The talk will be followed by a reception.

[ May 04, 2006]  St. Blasien is a Jesuit secondary school for boys and girls. It also has a boarding school and is a renowned private school, attracting high numbers of application. Pater Johannes Siebner SJ was born in Berlin. In 1983, he became a Jesuit. He studied Philosophy, Political Science and Theology. After his studies, he worked with the Jesuit Refugee Service in Malaysia. He was ordained as priest in 1992. In 2002, he became director/headmaster of St. Blasien.

The event is hosted by IUB and by Bankhaus Fortmann & Soehne, a private bank from Oldenburg.
