Ursula M. Staudinger President elect of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie e.V. (German Psychological Society)

   

Ursula M. Staudinger Professor of Psychology, Vice President and Academic Dean of the Jacobs Center for Lifelong Learning and Institutional Development has been elected President elect of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie e.V. (DGPs). The election result was announced at the recent 45th DGPs General Meeting from September 17-21, 2006, in Nürnberg.

[ Sep 25, 2006]  During the next two years, Prof. Staudinger will be introduced to office by being member of the Board of the DGPs. In 2008, Prof. Staudinger will assume office. The DGPs is an association of psychologists engaged in study and research. It supports the advancement and promotion of scientific psychology.

Before joining IUB in fall 2003, Prof. Dr. Ursula M. Staudinger held a professorship in Lifespan Developmental Psychology from 1999 to 2003 at Dresden University of Technology before she joined IUB. Previously, she was a Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and at the Academy of Sciences in Berlin. She is a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.
