Do fans have power over their team?

On Wednesday, September 27, the University Club Lecture series fall 2006 will continue. Clemens Schwender, Professor of Communication Science, will explain why it is all in the hands of fans: "More than a gut feeling – the home field advantage."

[ Sep 26, 2006]  To prove that winning a soccer game is as much a question of chants, cheers and the right color hats in the stands as playing expertise, communication scientist Clemens Schwender evaluated several thousand scores from the 42-year-long history of the German Bundesliga. For results join the lecture on Wednesday evening.

The lecture is in German and lasts about 30 minutes. Starting at 7 p.m. the lecture will be held in the IUB University Club. IT is followed by a discussion and a small reception. Entrance fee: 2 €
