Ambassador of India on Campus

On October 18, 2006 the Indian Ambassador H.E. Mrs. Meera Shankar gave a talk on "Indo-European Collaboration in a Globalising Economy“. The lecture started at 7.30 p.m. and took place in IUB’s Campus Center.

[ Oct 16, 2006]  India is the world's seventh largest country and its rate of economic growth is among the fastest in the world. Germany is one of India’s largest European trading partners. The bilateral trade has been growing an average 20 percent over the last three years. Indian politicians point out that while large German companies already have a presence in India, small- and mid-sized companies seem hesitatant to engage. In her lecture the Ambassador introduced the varied opportunities the Indo-German business relationship offers in a globalising economy.
