Marion G. Müller Vice-Chair of the Visual Studies Division of the International Communication Association (ICA)

Marion Müller, Professor of Mass Communication, has been elected Vice-Chair of the Visual Studies Division of the International Communication Association (ICA). During the next two years, Prof. Müller will serve as vice-chair. This tenure is followed by another two years as Chair of the Visual Studies Division.

[ Oct 26, 2006]  The ICA is the largest scientific organization for communication, representing 3,500 communication scholars worldwide. The Visual Studies Division is one of a total of 17 Divisions. This division of ICA seeks to enhance the understanding of the visual in all its forms -- moving and still images and displays in television, video and film, art and design, and print and digital media. The Visual Studies Division sponsors research in creation, processing, function, meaning, and critical consequences of visual representation.
