Collectors meet IUB: Lecture by Thomas Olbricht

   

On Monday, November 27, art collector Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Olbricht will give a lecture on "My life with art. Dream and reality." The lecture is in German and will start at 7.30 p.m. in the Conference Room.

[ Nov 27, 2006]  Essen-based collector, Thomas Olbricht, is one of the most important German collectors of contemporary art. He started collecting art in 1985. Today, his collection consists of more than 1500 sculptures, paintings and photographies. Among these are works by Gerhard Richter, Cindy Sherman, Tony Oursler, Thomas Ruff, Andres Serrano, Marc Quinn, John Isaacs, Fischli und Weiss, Juan Munoz und Sylvie Fleury. Works from the Olbricht collection can be seen in more than 20 museums worldwide.
