Bank of America appoints Peter Haßkamp as advisor

   

On Monday, January 29, the Bank of America (BoA) announced the appointment of two new advisors in their German division. One of them is Peter Haßkamp, member of Jacobs University’s Board of Governors since its founding in 1999 as International University Bremen.

[ Jan 31, 2007]  The lawer Peter Haßkamp has been chief executive officer of the Bremer Landesbank (Federal Bank of Bremen), which is now NordLB, from 1986 to 2003. The second new BoA advisor is Dietrich Rümker, who headed the former Federal Bank of Schleswig-Holstein, which now is the HSH Nordbank, from 1996 to 2002. Andreas Dombret, Chief of the German BoA division about the appointments: “The Bank of America will profit greatly from the excellent connections of these new advisors.”

Since July 2006 the Bank of America, which is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the largest commercial bank in the United States. Going back to the Bank of Massachusetts founded in 1784 it also is the second eldest US bank. In 2005 BoA employed over 175,000 people and reported a turnover of 48.9 billion US dollars.
