Karin Friedrichs works explore polarities: time and infinity, reality and vision, external and internal realities. Music and dance are the strongest expressions of human spirit, claims the artist. 86 pieces of art are exhibited in Jacobs University’s Campus Center and University Club. They reflect Friedrichs’ different manifestations of her subject, the human: drawings, paintings, sculpturs and installation. The pieces express desire and longing as well as weaknesses of human relations. They represent the individual in the context of past and future.
