JACOBS UNIVERSITY BREMEN

Literature meets Multilingualism

On Wednesday, April 18, the Lecture series "Science for Curious People" will continue. Prof. Dr. Immacolata Amodeo, Professor of Literature, will speak on the topic: "Literature and Multilingualism: Literature of migrant authors in Germany." Beginning at 7 p.m. the lecture takes place at the University Club.

[ Apr 18, 2007]  The lecture series "Science for curious people" offers insights in Jacobs University research. The lecture on "Literature and Multilingualism" deals with a special genre of literary texts written by migrant writers. Exile and displacement are often characteristics of the biographies of authors, who express themselves in a language different from their mother tongue. Professor Amodeo will introduce examples of literary texts that challenge the reader by their multilingualism.

The lecture is in German and lasts about 30 minutes.
