JACOBS UNIVERSITY BREMEN

Curious host families wanted

At the end of August it is time again: more than 200 freshmen from all corners of the globe come to Bremen to live and study at Jacobs University. For many of the Bachelor's students it is their first longtime stay far away from home. Jacobs University´s host family program helps the freshmen to establish personal interaction with families in Bremen and to become acquainted with the German culture and way of life.

[ Jun 11, 2007]  Jacobs University is looking for new families who are interested in meeting young people from all over the world. Within this "family circle", students can experience German culture and the native’s way of life. Every contact develops individually. Cultural interaction is the core of the program. The families will try to help the students to settle into your their new home and will introduce them to life in Bremen. In return, many students invite their host families to Jacobs University events to let them become part of the Jacobs University family.

The Host Family Program presently comprising approximately 440 host families. More than 500 students have met host families since the start of the program in 2001.
