Jacobs University opens new undergraduate program »International Logistics«

Today, Jacobs University officially opens its new »International Logistics« program, which started this fall with its first
24 students coming from 14 different countries. About 300 representatives from the logistics sector in Bremen and the Northern German region are expected to attend the opening ceremony.

[ Oct 24, 2007]  As globalization boosts the logistics industry into one of the strongest growth markets worldwide, its executive managers especially need intercultural competence beside their expertise in economics and engineering. Jacobs University’s new »International Logistics« program, which is officially opened today, places a special emphasis on the schooling of these skills. The concept as well as the study subjects were developed in close cooperation with the logistics industry; the two-pillar program offers the Bachelor of Science in International Logistics Engineering (School of Engineering and Science) and the Bachelor of Arts in International Logistics Management (School of Humanities and Social Sciences). 12 Jacobs professors participate in the three-year program.
