Iņiguez de Ozoņo visits Jacobs University

   

On April 23 and 24, 2008, Prof. Iņiguez de Ozoņo, Dean of the Instituto de Empresa Business School, together with his wife Maria Eugenia Marin, Director for International Relations, visits Jacobs University to discuss future co-operation possibilities with various members of Jacobs University’s leadership and representatives of the Jacobs Foundation. The Instituto de Empresa Business School has consistently been ranked as one of the top international business schools worldwide.

[ Apr 23, 2008]  The Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School, an independent educational institution in the center of Madrid, dedicates itself to the training of business leaders through programs based on a global perspective, entrepreneurial spirit and a humanistic approach. Focusing on applied research coupled with multidisciplinary, integrative training programs the IE is consistently ranked among the top business schools worldwide (for instance Financial Times, January 2008, MBA Ranking, 3rd in Europe, 8th Worldwide | The Economist, September 2007, MBA Ranking, 4th in Europe, 9th worldwide | Wall Street Journal, September 2007, MBA Ranking, 6th in Europe; 14th worldwide). Founded in 1973, the school runs master's degree programs, executive master's degrees, executive education programs, and a PhD program. Approximately 1,500 students from 70 countries undertake degree programs at the school each year, with 3,500 participants in executive education programs. Almost 50 % of the 500-strong international faculty are of non-Spanish origin. The School has offices in 17 countries and 35,000 alumni based in 100 countries and MBA student exchange programs with 53 international universities.

Santiago Iņiguez de Onzoņo studied at Madrid’s Complutense University and Oxford University, UK. Iņiguez de Onzoņo is a Doctor of Law and holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa. He has worked as a management consultant and has played an active role in the field of quality control in executive education. He has been Director of External Relations at IE during which time he led international initiatives like the creation of the SUMAG Alliance, a platform for executive education comprised of Instituto de Empresa and seven leading business schools from Latin America. Iņiguez is Professor of Strategic Management and, as of August 2004, is Dean of the school. He currently combines his responsibilities as Dean with his position of Chairman of EQUAL (European Quality Link), the consortium that integrates European business school accreditation associations, and he is a Member of the International Advisory Board of AMBA (Association of MBAs, UK). Iņiguez de Onzoņo has published numerous articles and practical case studies on business management. Furthermore he is author and co-author of several books in the field of moral and political philosophy.
