JACOBS UNIVERSITY BREMEN

Jacobs University Spring 2008 Open House

The 2008 Spring Open House at Jacobs University on April 26 will attract prospective students, family members, friends and teachers onto campus to learn what makes ours the best private university in which to live, learn and research. More than 200 guests are expected, some from as far away as the United Arab Emirates.

[ Apr 24, 2008]  The program will begin at 10 a.m. with student-produced video clips about life on campus followed by a piano performance by Trung Hieu Nguyen. The morning will be devoted to introductory presentations by students, faculty and staff, and a performance by the Oriental Dance Club as well as tours of the campus.

After lunch visitors will have the chance to meet present students, and witness a sample debate by the Debating Club. Student organizations will be represented at a mini club fair in the Campus Center, providing guests with a taste of life beyond the classroom.

In the afternoon visitors will have the chance to attend twelve information sessions during which professors and students introduce some of the undergraduate academic programs, and where visitors can ask more specific questions regarding studies here at the University.

The Admission Office hopes to increase the visibility of Jacobs University within the higher education world by continuing such on-campus events and by attending university fairs and German career days in high schools. The campus open house runs in April and October each year.

Interested visitors who might miss this event may wish to schedule a personalized campus visit through the Admission Office. The next Fall Open House is scheduled to take place on October 4, 2008
