|
On Saturday, September 27, 2008, Jacobs University invites the interested public and especially all Bremen-based American citizens, who are entitled to vote, to a U. S. election information day. At the traditional “Town Meeting” style event from 3 p. m. to 6 p. m., Genevieve Libonati, Political Economical Officer at the Hamburg Consulate General of the United States, will present in-depth information about the presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain and their respective political approach. A CNN feature on the candidates and a discussion will round out the information program. Cheryl Weise, head of the Bremen U.S. consular agency, will assist American citizens with last minute voting registration. There is no entrance fee.
