Not your usual "Campus Walk": Jacobs University hosts the second "Jacobs Run"

On October 18 at 15:00 the second campus Jacobs-Run at Jacobs University will be held. Last year's successful premier saw over a hundred runners and countless members of the public cheering them on. Everyone, regardless of age, is welcome to participate. Last-Minute on-site registration is also possible. University president Joachim Treusch will give the race's starting orders.

[ Oct 16, 2008]  The event features races for various age groups and various distances over the university campus.

At 16:00 begins the 400 meter "Bambini-Run" for children up to 7 years of age. The 1000 meter race for 8 to 13 year olds begins at 16:15. For 16 year olds and older, singles and teams, the 5k and 10k runs begin at 16:45.

New this year are prizes for the three fastest teams. A team must consist of at least 4 runners.

The winners of all events will be awarded at 18:00 with trophies and various other prizes. A Pasta-Party for all who successfully complete their runs will round off the event.

Registration for each distance is possible at least 1 hour before the race begins at the campus sport halls. Further information at www.jacobs-lauf.de.
