Confirmation Letter of English Proficiency

The Academic Affairs Office will assist you in your graduate school applications with a letter of proof that Jacobs University Bremen is an English language teaching institution, and that for admission to Jacobs University i.a. the TOEFL is a requirement.

The Office for Academic Affairs is also authorized to sign for you the DAAD  "Language Certificate for German Applicant" or "Sprachzeugnis für deutsche Bewerber". Please submit filled in respective DAAD form via e-mail to Ms. Salauyova.

Please note that we do not issue letters that are not addressed to an institution. If you require very general reference, please refer your respective admission office to the sample letter below.

Please read carefully the regulations and additional information on the request form to assure that your request is submitted (and therefore processed) accordingly. If you have questions please address Ms. Salauyova.

NB: If you would like to include an English Support Letter for your visa application, please check carefully the regulations of the respective country's consulate. In most cases, e.g. UK, you would be required to provide an official language test certificate!
