Howard Rosen is Executive Director of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Coalition, which he established on behalf of American workers and communities experiencing dislocations due to changes in international trade and investment. In 2001, he drafted provisions in the Trade Act of 2002 that significantly reformed and expanded the US Trade Adjustment Assistance program.

Doris Fischer studied Economics and Sinology in Hamburg and Wuhan (P.R. China). Her doctoral thesis on competition and industrial policies in China received the university award of the Justus-Liebig University Giessen. Before entering the Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) in 2007, she was visiting professor at the Seikei University in Tokyo.
