Krupp College was the first residential college of Jacobs and pioneered many of the traditions throughout the college system: sports, culture, politics, fun and more! The heart of the Krupp lies in its ‘Kruppies’, students whose innovation to boldly go where no one has gone before has set the standard for just how amazing a residential college can be.

 

Our college mascot is the spiciest on earth: The red-hot Krupp Chili! Go Krupp Go – long live the spicy college of creative Kruppies!

 

Krupp hosts some of the best-known events on campus:Deepawali, an Indian and Napalese festival of lights; From-The-Inside, discussions with first-hand knowledge of controversial political, economic, or cultural issues; Krupp on Tour, which takes Kruppies out to explore regional attractions; The Jacobs Run, a 5 & 10km race on campus, drawing international competitors to challenge our athletic students; and the infamous Krupp X-treme Day – the wildest day of the year when all the end-of-year stress is released in a frenzy of extreme activities such as The Tower of Doom and the biggest Slip-n-Slide you’ve ever seen!

Krupp has recently refurbished, creating some of the 'koolest' common rooms on campus, such as the Media Room with hi-fi sound and digital beamer to watch movies or sports in mega-format or even sing Karaoke! Then in the basement there’s the Krupp Party Zone in – a disco-party-lounge room which can be booked by Kruppies for small private parties.

The best part about Krupp are the people. The College Masters, Klaus and Isabelle Schömann, responsible for Krupp students affairs since 2004 love this tremendous spicy atmosphere of Krupp College and do their utmost to make this place the home away from home. Our Resident Associates, Serkan, Adbu, and Patrice, graduates who live in the Krupp alongside undergrads, are a wealth of useful knowledge about how to survive and thrive at Jacobs. The College Office Team is a most-dedicated and friendly group of Kruppies at Jacobs, working around-the-clock with the funniest College Office Manger on the planet, René a.k.a. DaCOM, to make Krupp the most entertaining of homes. But most of all, it’s all the Kruppies who put their new ideas into action to make life at Jacobs University better for all, making Krupp by far the spiciest college on campus.
