Information Resource Center - Library
Jacobs University’s library is part of the Information Resource Center (IRC), housed in the spacious Campus Center building. Quiet, group, and individual study areas, equipped with WLAN, power and network connections, offer space for learning in groups or individually.
The collection is predominantly electronic and thus available 24/7 to the Jacobs community from anywhere in the world.
The IRC is also home to the university’s IT services and Multimedia department.
Library Resources and Services
The collection contains over 30,000 electronic journals, many databases, 200,000 e-books, and 49,000 print books. Books and articles the IRC does not have access to will be obtained for you via interlibrary loan.
Visitors are also welcome to use all our resources and facilities on campus. For guests from other research institutions wireless access via eduroam is available as well.
The library offers guidance and tools for identifying, locating, and organizing the literature you need for your studies or research. Individual appointments are always available upon request and workshops on a variety topics and tools are offered on a regular basis.
