News: Graduate workshops begin today, September 9, 2010

The IRC is pleased to announce a series of graduate workshop this fall to introduce you to our services and resources. Please join us if you are new on campus, or if you've already been here but are still confused about library tools and services.

The first workshop, "Jacobs University Library at Your Fingertips: Overview and Tour" will take place this Thursday, September 9th, from 13:00-14:30 in the IRC Seminar Room. The workshop will be repeated on Monday, September 20th, from 13:00-14:30 in the IRC Seminar Room.

In this workshop, a moderated discussion and input from the IRC librarians will help you to develop your individual "information workbench." After the workshop you will be aware of how to improve your information research skills considerably and you will know what tools, support, and advanced workshops are available to you.

Pre-registration is required; please use this link to register: https://www.jacobs-university.de/node/14123. Complete information about all workshops can be found on the Library website (http://www.jacobs-university.de/node/1555#inforesearch), including registration links for upcoming workshops.

Welcome to (or back to!) Jacobs, and we hope to see you at one or all of our workshops.
