Library facilities

As part of the Information Resource Center (IRC), the library is housed in the spacious Campus Center that was opened in April 2004.

Aside from traditional print sources, the IRC provides access to a large number of online resources, including full-text journals, bibliographic, and full-text databases. Most of these online resources can be accessed on campus and off-campus via VPN, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

When the semester is in session, the IRC's extensive opening hours include late evenings and weekends. Quiet, group, and over 200 individual study areas, equipped with WLAN, power and network connections, offer space for learning in groups or individually. In addition to wireless access throughout the building, there are several computers available for public use. Other equipment includes photocopy machines and a plotter.

Borrowing & circulation and the interlibrary loan office are located on the first level when you enter the IRC. At the circulation desk you can ask questions, check-out and return books, DVDs, videos, CD-ROMs, and more.

All study areas as well as the print collections are located on the third level:

  • Stacks (main collection) - primarily in English
  • Reference - encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, and more
  • Career Services - graduate and career resources
  • University Community Collection - leisure and pleasure reading
  • Periodicals and newspapers - print journals, shelved by title
