Green EFFORTS
Green EFFORTS, stands for Green and Effective Operations at Terminals and in Ports, is a collaborative research project, co-funded by the European Commissions under the Seventh Framework Programme with a total budget of € 2 million, aiming at reduction of emissions by decreasing of energy consumption and improving use of a cleaner energy mix in terminals and ports.
Know-ME
KNow-ME (The European Academic and Industry Network for Innovative Maritime Training, Education and R&D) is a collaborative project under the European Commission’s 7th Research Framework Programme. This project is in support of the Communication of the “EU maritime transport strategy 2018”, with a special focus on the human factor in shipping and ports. The project started on the 1st June 2011 and will and on the 31st May 2014.
MIELE Project
“Multimodal Interoperability E-services for Logistics and Environment sustainability (MIELE)” project is a pilot action study co-financed by the European Union Trans-European Transport Network (Ten-T). This project aims at developing interoperable ICT platform which is able to connect different regional and national systems. Implementation duration covered by MIELE project is from September, 2010 to December, 2013.
Northern Maritime University
The "Northern Maritime University" (NMU) project is a research project funded by the EU interreg IVB North Sea Programme, having the objective to build up a transnational network of universities in the North Sea Region (NSR). The project’s initial phase commenced in April 2008 and will be culminate with the launch of the Northern Maritime University by June 2012.
