Donations

Jacobs University Bremen welcomes donations of books and other library materials to enhance learning and to support research. Materials which fall within the scope of the library's collection and are in excellent condition are welcome. The library reserves the right to utilize donated materials in whatever way best benefits the collections and services. Donations with restrictions or special conditions cannot be accepted.

If you are on campus, please bring your donation to the circulation desk at any time during our opening hours and fill out a donation form.

If you are not on campus and wish to donate materials, please contact the Technical Services librarians (e-mail: irc-acquisitions@jacobs-university.de). Please forward a list of the items for review. The donor will be notified of the decision to add the materials. We ask that you arrange for the delivery of materials to the library, as we do not have the personnel to provide this service.

If requested, your name will appear as the donor on a book plate placed inside the front cover of books or inside the container of audiovisual items. We can send a receipt to you listing the amount of your gift(s) along with a detailed list of donated materials which may be used to document tax deductions. If you would like either of these options, please indicate this on your donation form.
