At the School of Engineering and Science, we are committed to scientific excellence. This is reflected in numerous highly challenging and innovative research projects carried out by the teams around the more than 65 faculty members of the School. Our faculty members are leading experts in areas of the most exciting modern scientific disciplines including Life Sciences, Nanomolecular Science and Material Research, Information and Communication Technologies, Earth and Space Sciences and International Logistics, as well as in fundamental research in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

SES Deans

The Faculty of the School of Engineering and Science is represented in the Academic Board by the three Deans Prof. Dr. Werner Henkel (Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, and Logistics), Prof. Dr. Werner Nau (Natural Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Alexander Lerchl (Life Sciences), left to right. They have been elected by the SES Faculty of Jacobs University for the years 2012 - 2014. It is our mission to transfer scientific excellence to our students by providing exhaustive and careful training in the scientific subjects of their choice.
