Transfer Students

Students who wish to transfer into Jacobs University from a different university, after having received sufficient course credits from the previous institution, may do so by filling out the same application form.

The deadline for spring semester is November 1st.
The deadline for fall semester is June 15th.

Only students who have completed a considerable amount of university course work may transfer into an advanced semester. All new university students considering Jacobs University must apply for the fall semester. We follow a yearly modular curriculum and entering in spring semester would be far too difficult.

As for receiving credit for your previous course work, this can only be accurately determined on a one-to-one basis with the vice president for academic affairs, and then only once you have been accepted and have arrived on campus. In order for you to know which credits you may receive, we would suggest that you consult our course catalogue. There you will find descriptions of our requirements for all Jacobs University majors and this will help you determine if the work you have accomplished resembles our program. Students who wish to transfer into one of our graduate programs must consult with the School representative who handles admission for the desired program.
