Current Corona Regulations on Campus

Jacobs University’s primary commitment, besides offering a first-class education, is to keep its campus and its community safe and healthy – students, employees, external services providers, guests and visitors alike. We therefore implemented a number of regulations intended to slow the spread of the virus and protect the health of our community. These regulations apply on the Jacobs University campus, in addition to the official corona regulation of the Federal Government and the Federal State of Bremen.

We kindly ask all members of our community to adhere to the following campus rules – employees, students and guests alike. We cordially thank you for your understanding and for your support!

In general, please wear a mouth-nose cover in all publicly accessible indoor areas as well as in corridors at all times.
A short video instruction for the use of a mouth-nose cover you can find here.

In general, please maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from others wherever possible – indoors and outdoors.

Adhere to a maximum number of people per room (one person / 10 sqm room area) wherever possible – this applies to office spaces but also to any kind of event. Please generally consider signs indicating a maximum number of people per space.

In the student rooms a maximum of 2 persons at any time is allowed.

Ensure sufficient and continuous ventilation or fresh air supply in all indoor areas.

Please wash and disinfect your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Especially after using the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are unavailable. Use the installed disinfectant dispensers in all serveries, the coffee bar and all relevant administrative offices.

Refrain from touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Make use of the official "Corona-Warn-App" of the German government.

Get-togethers, parties and celebrations are not allowed anywhere at any time (indoors or outside).

Club and team activities as well as events and gatherings (indoors or outside) are not allowed.
