Jacobs University achieved excellent results in the latest university ranking for 2015/2016 from the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) and the well-known German weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT. The international university again achieved top rankings in the subjects geosciences, informatics, mathematics, physics, and political sciences, thus repeating the success of previous years. “Jacobs University has been at the very top of CHE rankings for ten years and consistently achieves excellent results,” said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katja Windt, President of Jacobs University. “For us, the fantastic evaluations in the current CHE lists are not just recognition of our work and performance, but in particular give us major motivation to continue to achieve first-class results in Germany’s biggest university ranking.”
May 22, 2015The majority of young women and men are very satisfied with the study situation at Jacobs University. In Geosciences, the students particularly consider the support, scientific relevance, and career relevance of their course as very good. About the CHE Ranking
The CHE Ranking is the largest and most detailed examination of study programs at universities in German-speaking Europe. More than 300 universities have been ranked. The ranking not only includes facts about study content, teaching, research and equipment, but also incorporates the opinions of students about study conditions at their universities. For young people looking or a place to study in Germany it is the most important reference.
