On May 10 (17:00), J-Cappella, the international choir at Jacobs University, invites the public to its annual spring concert at the Interfaith House on campus.
May 5, 2015Classics of J-Cappella’s repertoire will be a the center of this year’s spring concert including different musical genres from pop, classic, rock and jazz - a mix that has become the hallmark of the choir and its director Rucsandra Popescu, who has been at the helm of J-Cappella since 2008.
In March the choir, consisting of students from more than 12 nations, impressed the audience at the ‘19th Bremer Pop- and Jazzchoirfestival’ (held at the Schlachthof in Bremen) with their energetic performance. The spring concert on May 10 is the last chance to see J-Cappella in their current set-up as the Bachelor Class of 2015 will soon be leaving Jacobs University after their graduation in June.
J-Cappella recorded a best of their songs in March, which will be available on a new CD titled “World of Music”. The CD will be on sale after the concert.
Tickets for the concert on May 10 can be reserved with Lena Ibold via email (l.ibold@jacobs-university.de [1]). The price for adults is €9 for the front rows and €7 for the back rows at the Interfaith House. Reduced price tickets for €5 are available for children over the age of seven and students.
