IFY – Your complete package of an international living and learning experience

Your home away from home: You will live in your own furnished room in a modern two-bedroom apartment unit in one of our four residential colleges on campus, with student cafeterias offering three meals per day, study areas, group meeting rooms, and recreational lounge.

Personal support 24/7: The well-being of our students is a top priority at Jacobs University. Resident Mentors in each college and professional counseling services ensure 24/7 security and safety of our community, including our minor students (16+).

What is being offered for parents or accompanying persons?

Your parents and accompanying persons are also welcome to share in the Jacobs University experience. Your parents have the opportunity to join the campus tour and the online informational talk.

Our admissions team members are only a call away and happy to answer all questions regarding living on campus, possible study abroad programs, internships, career opportunities, etc.

You can have your admission interview in-person on our campus in Bremen, Germany, or online between 9 am and 3.30 pm.


✔ High school diploma and school transcripts from the past two years (if you do not have your final diploma yet). To be eligible to attend the Admission Day the diploma needs to be equivalent to the German general higher education entry qualification (also known as “Abitur”).

✔ Identity card/ passport: The university needs an ID for identity verification purposes.

Registration process

Please register for your preferred admission interview date. You can let us know in the comments if you are available on additional dates as well. After successful submission of the registration form, you will receive an email with your personal timeslot. We only offer a limited number of interviews, so register as soon as possible.
