20% tuition fee will be charged for up to two semesters beyond the standard period of study, and 50% tuition fee will be charged for extensions as of the third semester beyond the standard period of study. You pay a flat-rate per semester of extension. Please refer to the table below.

These new regulations are applied to all extension of studies as of fall 2022.

No financial aid (scholarship, grant, tuition deferral) will be available for an extension of studies.

Information for students who started their studies BEFORE fall 2022

The study contract of students who started their studies before fall 2022 states a different calculation for tuition fees for an extension of studies (paragraph 5.6). The new flat-rate stated above is replacing the calculation in your study contract, whenever it is the cheaper option. E.g. If you only take one 5.0 ECTS course in your 9th semester you would only be charged 20% of tuition fees and not 50%.
