Terms and Conditions
The organizer of this giveaway is Jacobs University Bremen gGmbH. By participating in this giveaway you agree to these terms and conditions.

Timeframe
The giveaway takes place from December 22, 2018 through January 15th, 2019. On the day following the end of the giveaway, a winner will be drawn from all participants to be announced the following days.

Participation
Any natural entity that is at least 18 years old and student at Jacobs University in Fall 2018 is eligible to participate. Persons who participated in the conception and implementation of this giveaway are not allowed to participate.

Participation is free. In order to enter the giveaway, a post adhering to the outlined requirements must be posted on Instagram or Facebook. Those requirements are that the participants profile is set to public and that the post is published between December 22, 2018 and January 13th, 2019, contains the hashtag "JacobsAdvent2018" and does not contain explicit or inappropriate contents. Only posts that meet all of these requirements will be included in the giveaway draw.

Participants are allowed to partake with multiple entries as long as each entry is unique. It is prohibited to use the same picture across multiple accounts to increase the chances of winning. Participants may tag the official Jacobs University account but this is not mandatory to enter.

Prizes and Notification
The choosing of the winners will be carried out the next day after the termination of this giveaway. The winner will be chosen from all valid participants by a jury. The winners will be announced on the official Instagram page and Facebook page of Jacobs University and its other social media platforms and notified by a direct message within seven days after this giveaway. If the winner doesn’t respond to two requests and within two weeks, the prize will be assigned to another participant.

The prize will only be delivered to winners. It is not possible to exchange the prize or to receive a cash payment for the prize.

Possible shipping costs will be taken over by the organizer. By claiming the prize, any additional cost will be taken over by the winner.

Privacy
To participate in the giveaway, it is required to provide personal data, a photo uploaded onto a public profile, as well as additional information after winning. The participant ensures the true representation and accuracy of statements, especially about his or her contact information should they win the giveaway.

All personal data of the participant will neither be forwarded nor used by third parties.

By entering the giveaway the participant agrees to give the organizer permission to use their submission for marketing purposes.

This includes, but is not limited to;

• Reposting the photo on the organizers Instagram during the giveaway.
• Creating a collage using the photo and posting this on the organizer’s social media channels including Instagram and Facebook.
• Using the photo on the Jacobs University website.
• Using the photo in the e-mail communication (Newsletter).
• Using the photo for future giveaway advertisements.
• Using the photo for a video collage to be shown on the organizer's social media channels.

In case of a win, the participant complies with the publishing of his or her name and country in advertising media put forward by the organizer. This includes the announcement of the winner on the website of the organizer and its social media platforms.

Applicable law
Participants need to direct questions or objections related to the giveaway to the organizer.

The giveaway of the organizer is exclusively subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. All decisions are final and binding in all respects and not subject to legal recourse.
